The Peach City Half Marathon is a beautiful south Okanagan race which follows most of the Ironman Canada Route.

This summer dragon boat regatta is located at Skaha Lake Park and features up to 30 dragon boat teams. The race runs only 250 meters, offering participants and spectators a fun and intense race.

This annual event sees participants swimming 3.1 or 7 km. Swimmers will swim to Rattle Snake Island (located directly across Peachland and is the largest island in Okanagan Lake). Registration required.

Held every August, the Ironman Canada Triathlon brings 1700 athletes from around the world to Penticton. A grueling campaign, competitors must swim 3.86 km (2.4 mi), bike 180.2 km (112 mi), and run 42.2 km (26.2 mi). Top finishers in this race qualify for Ironman Hawaii.

The Polar Bear Swim is an annual Peachland event that takes place in January. This event requires those brave enough to endure the chilly waters of Lake Okanagan. Hot chocolate and lots of encouragement will be served at this winter event. The Polar Bear swim is free and requires pre-registration.

The Penticton Highland Games takes place in July of each year at Kings Park. Enjoy a free celtic concert to close the days events. Competitions include: piping and drumming, heavy events, highland dancing, stock dog trials and clan gathering.

Note: The 2008 games have been canceled. The next games will take place July, 2009.

The South Okanagan Golf League runs over 3 weekend days during May. This tour like style league is open to men and ladies and all abilities are welcome. Fun socials with nice prizes follow each golf outing as well. Carts are included at each course and courses include Inkameep Canyon, Summerland Golf Club and Sonora Dunes.
